Our Guided Implant Residency is our most popular choice. Six days of group discussions, treatment planning, hands-on activities and live surgeries culminate to our Surgery Day where each doctor places an implant on a live patient.

Implant 1
Hands-on activities designed to instruct & establish habits
The Implant 1 Course creates a foundational basis for all implant dentistry. This two-day course is packed with information and engaging activities that build upon skills developed in the Intro Course. Specific hands-on activities designed to instruct and establish habits. Lively residency style discussions occur during pre and postoperative case reviews. Whitecap’s unique surgical protocols are taught during lecture then demonstrated in live surgery and practiced during hands-on lab activities that reinforce learning.

Prosthetics
Implant restoration cases presented and treated
During this one-day course implant restoration cases are presented and treated. Training in the use of the various prosthetics parts and pieces as well as case treatment planning for restoration is included. Lively discussions occur to compare and contrast the various implant restorative options from immediate loading to traditional healing periods. Case studies are demonstrated, and single implant restorations are included as well as the process of taking impressions.

Bone Grafting, Membranes, and Advanced Implant Topics
This two-day course in our implant series teaches bone grafting, use of membranes, and implant placement at a more advanced level. This course features live surgeries showcasing advanced implant, membrane and bone placement. The surgeries include case planning and pre-operative discussions. Topics such as case planning, flap design, suture techniques, and tissue management are also covered.

- Understand resorbable membranes and guided tissue regeneration

- Learn ridge split with immediate implant placement

Surgery Day
After 5 days of instruction it's your turn to place an implant
This surgery day is the pinnacle of the Guided Implant Residency, as all training will lead up to this exceptional experience. During the Guided Implant Residency, Doctors are trained on safe and predictable implant placement in which they will be able to put to immediate use. During the surgery day, each participating Doctor will have the opportunity to place an implant on a patient provided by WhiteCap Institute. This implant surgery is performed under the supervision of one of our mentors and the added support of our professional surgical assistants.

- Review micro-surgical techniques
- Understand the need for soft tissue grafting
- Define mucogingival problems
- Understand the causes of mucogingival problems
- Learn to surgically correct mucogingival issues
- Discuss different surgical solutions for different tissue problems
