We frequently have dentists call into the institute with a question such as:

“I know I want to start placing Dental Implants in my practice, but what do I really need to get started?”

Great question.

Beginning to place Dental Implants in your practice isn’t as tough as you might think. The biggest key to being successful in starting to place implants, is making sure that you have:

The Right Education & Training

The Right Tools & Equipment

WhiteCap Institute is focused around making sure that our residents are leave the WCI Implant program with training and confidence to start placing implants right in their practice. In addition, we will give you advice on the implant system as well as all of the tools that you will need to get started.

The Right Education

The best education for beginning Dental implants is the one that gets you started successfully placing implants in your practice with confidence.

The WhiteCap Dental Implant Residency is the best way to get started placing implants (check out some testimonials). The reason for that is that the emphasis of our courses is getting dentists placing implants quickly and with confidence. Check out our post about the Dental Implant Residency Program.

The Right Tools

The second part of beginning to place Dental Implants is having the right set of tools, equipment and products. Our Implants Integration Course together with the Dental Implant Residency not only give you the information you will need about those tools and products, but also even provides a simple process for you to order and set up tools, products, etc.

One of the other pieces of having the right Training and the right equipment is having your staff trained on Dental Implants and setting up and caring for equipment. One of the other most popular courses that we provide is a staff training course that helps your assistants get and stay up-to-speed with dental implantology.

All in all, the WhiteCap Residency Program isn’t just designed to train you or educate you. It is a Launch Pad into actually starting Dental Implants. We have hundreds of Testimonials from other doctors that express the same opinion of WhiteCap Institute.

Feel free to Contact Us with any questions or Register online, and we will get back in touch with you.

Welcome 2010!

We are very excited to ring in the new year with a brand new Residency Program for Dental Implant Training. This is especially exciting news to those who are just looking into integrating Dental Implants into their current practice. So, without further Ado, let’s dive into the details.

The new residency program is focused on 3 primary goals:

Ensuring Doctors finish the program and have the experience and confidence to immediately begin placing implants in their practice

Doctors place an implant with a real patient in the Course - overcome the hurdle of “The First One”

More hands-on and educational value than any other training program

We are excited to announce that we have put together the 2010 program with these accomplishments in mind – and the results so far are great. The Base Residency Program includes the Following courses:

Implant 1 – 2 Days
Prosthtics 1 – 1/2 Day
Prosthetics 2 – 1/2 Day
Implant 2 – 2 Days
Surgery Day – 1 Day – Place Implant in Patient

The Residency Program can be taken either as 2 Half Weeks or A Full Bootcamp Week. The most common layout for the Residency Program is as follows:

Implant Residency Block1

Residency-Program-Block2

Again, the 2 Blocks don’t need to be taken in the same week. Many doctors choose to take the first block one month, then the second block the following month.

The huge advantage to the Residency Program is the completeness of the training as well as the ability to get in and place an implant by the end of the program. It is also hugely beneficial to place an implant while having Dr. PK Clark’s 20 years of Placing and teaching Implants standing right next to you!

The WhiteCap Residency Program is focused on you becoming a successful and confident Implantologist. Let us know if you have any questions, or please feel free to Contact Us or Register for the Implant Residency.

Founder of WhiteCap Institute and instructor: Dr. P.K. Clark received his DMD from Oregon Health Science University and maintains a private implant practice in the Portland, Oregon area and recently began an implant and full mouth rehabilitation center near his home in Heber City Utah. He is an active member of many professional associations and societies including the International Congress of Oral Implantology, American Academy of Implant Dentistry, AGD and ADA. Dr. Clark has been placing implants for over 18 years using a variety of implant systems including Nobel Biocare, Ankylos, Bicon, Biohorizens, Sterioss, IMZ, Camlog and most recently Implant Direct’s Spectra. The creation of a teaching and mentoring organization has been a dream of Dr. Clark’s since he became a dentist. The WhiteCap Institute is the fullfillment of that dream. He single handedly created the institute which is now a growing community of like minded professionals.

Dr. Clark has also lectured and provided mentoring using Nobel Biocare, Ankylos, Camlog, Astra, Bicon and Implant Direct’s Spectra system. He finds great satisfaction in providing one on one mentoring to other dental professionals. In addition to placing implants, Dr. Clark also performs many types of periodontal, and oral surgeries. Dr. Clark commutes to his practice from Heber City, Utah where he enjoys keeping pace with his wife Cheryl and six children. Favorite family activities include snowmobiling, skiing, 4×4 wheeling, boating trips in the San Juan Islands and along the beautiful Oregon waterways. He always welcomes professional dialogue. pk@whitecapinstitute.com
