Hard and Soft Tissue Development Techniques

This course is designed to equip participants with advanced site development techniques essential for successful implant therapy across a range of clinical scenarios.

By the end of this course, participants will have a deeper understanding of both hard and soft tissue techniques that enhance implant therapy outcomes. Providers will leave with the skills and confidence to deliver exceptional, quality care to their patients.

Day 1 dives into soft tissue development, with a detailed review of soft tissue grafting techniques and implant maintenance practices.

Day 2 focuses on hard tissue development techniques , covering lateral ridge augmentation, advanced ridge preservation, and maxillary sinus augmentation. Participants will gain in-depth knowledge of these techniques to address complex cases requiring solid foundational support for implants.

Day 3 (optional for Option 2 attendees): Participants will have the opportunity to perform a live guided sinus lift surgery under expert supervision.

  • Purpose and rationale behind various flap designs
  • Purpose of each flap design
  • Different types of gingival augmentation around dental implants
  • Common suturing techniques used in implant surgery
  • Classifications of bone grafting materials
  • Ideal characteristics of bone grafts
  • Importance of space maintenance
  • Use of each grafting material based on its characteristics
  • Different barrier membranes and their uses.
  • Basics of platelet-rich fibrin
